It all started with a Houston-based Interior Designer hailing from Beirut, Lebanon, and mom of three...
Layal Saghbini received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Industrial Psychology, which she worked with for 5 years teaching at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN.
But deep down, she knew that her passions lie in everything design, decor, and fashion related.
With time she became busy with raising her family but soon realized that her life wasn’t complete and she didn’t feel fulfilled until she pursued her career in interior design.
The Leap into Design
While academics shaped her understanding of people, Layal’s heart always leaned toward creativity. She decided to pursue her passion formally by earning her Interior Design Certification from the New York Institute of Art and Design.
This was the moment she realized that merging the world of psychology with design would create interiors that are not only visually stunning but also support mental clarity, comfort, and harmony.
Design Philosophy
A home is more than just four walls—it’s a reflection of the people living in it. Her philosophy is built on three core values:

Founding Pretty Spaces
With this vision, Layal founded Pretty Spaces, an interior design studio based in Houston, Texas (Cypress area). Her goal was simple yet powerful:
